Notes written after the call, not before it
Faults we see often enough to have a settled view about. If one of these gets your appliance working again without us, that is the best possible outcome and it cost you nothing.
- Smoke Escaping Past a Wolf Hood in Brookline: The Checks in Order A hood that sounds powerful and still lets smoke past is usually being throttled downstream. Test the pull at each speed, wash the baffles and the blower wheel, then look hard at the duct: elbows, reducers, sagging flex and a damper that no longer opens. 7 min read Roland Beauchamp
- Wolf Burner Clicks but Will Not Light: Working Through It Clicking proves the spark half of the system works, so what is missing is on the gas side. Find out whether one burner or all of them are affected, check cap seating, ports and the electrode, then the supply. A gas smell that lingers means leave and call the utility. 5 min read Roland Beauchamp
- Wolf Oven Door Locked After Self-Clean: What to Do Next A door still locked after self-clean is usually the cavity cooling, because the latch releases on temperature rather than on a timer. If the display is dead instead, look at the breaker and at the one-shot thermal fuse the hot cycle may have opened. 6 min read Roland Beauchamp

(781) 410-4833Flat $95 service call, credited against an approved repair.
Cost
Quoted in full before anything comes apart
Flat $95 service call covering the visit and full diagnosis, credited against the repair once you approve it. These are the bands most repairs land in once the fault is known.
- $270$690 Igniter or spark module replacement
- $260$1,090 Burner valve or orifice service
- $140$720 Oven thermostat or sensor calibration
- $320$870 Convection fan or motor
- $540$1,550 Control board or touch panel
- $200$970 Door hinge, glass or seal
Repair or replace? A comparable new unit is $6,900 to $19,530
A comparable pro range, appliance only — before delivery, installation, gas or electrical work and any cabinetry. A rangetop plus separate wall ovens lands differently again.
What moves a job inside its band
Which part failed
An igniter and a control board are the two ends of the same appliance. Ignition, sensors and hardware sit at one end of the range; boards, gas valves and blower assemblies sit at the other.
Whether it is a current part
A part for a platform still in production arrives quickly. A superseded board or a discontinued blower means a supersession lookup and a wait, and the quote says so.
What it takes to get at it
A range that pulls forward on a tile floor is a different job from a slide-in trapped by a stone counter, or a hood liner four metres up a shared riser.
One visit or two
If the part is on the van it finishes that day. If it has to be ordered, the return visit is inside the quoted figure rather than added to it.
